I said YES TO THE DRESS
I thought all along that I wanted a vintage looking shorter dress. I was convinced I would not like anything in a bridal store. I didn't want a traditional dress as my ceremony was going to be VERY non-traditional. So absolutely no trains. The guys were not wearing tuxes and I had Marilyn Monroe bridesmaids. My mother and I went shopping a month ago and there was a total 4 dresses in the whole store that I could try on. She loved one very much and thought I should buy it on the spot. I liked it but I didn't love it.
We visited a different store and I had 8 dresses I could try on. I had it narrowed down to 2 dresses I liked very much. I was convinced by this time to go for the full out long dress, tiara and veil - I mean this is the only chance you'll get to wear this AND it is so much fun. Plus my fiance pointed out that I wanted people to know I was a bride when I go walking down the strip :)
As I was trying to decide between the 2 dresses the girl brings me over one last one to try on. I didn't like it at all. It was too flashy and not my style at all with the lace. However, I didn't want to insult her judgement so I tried it on.
And I never took it off. I knew it was the one as soon as I saw it on me and the girl commented on how I was glowing in that dress. Then I started crying. I am NOT a crier. Anyway, I bought it then and there. My mom loved it too. Here is a shot of me in the sample.

I found my shoes on Amazon.com - they are white satin with some bling and a LOW HEEL. Super comfy. After the ceremony I will change into these great skechers.
This is the fascinator that I ordered off Ebay. I think it looks pretty cool with my glasses :) Also shown is the great feather clutch that I ordered from Esty. You can personalize the inside with whatever you want.
I got this necklace off Etsy.
